It has been a while since we had a threemover here, so this week’s is a
prize-winner by the late Norman Macleod. This is an economical effort featuring a
series of interferences and unpins.

In the two main variations the defending knight obstructs a potential bishop check, allowing the white rook to clear a path to b4 for his bishop while preventing the other check from the now unpinned bishop.
