The late Paul Valois set the problems for the solving tourney at the BCPS weekend in
Bournemouth in 2013. This one proved trickier than it looked and no-one solved it
quickly. How can the White force get at the enemy king?
Solution: 1.Sb5 d3 2.Sc3 d4 3.Rd5 dxc3 4.dxc3 d2+ 5.Kc2 d1Q+ 6.Rxd1. A
sequence which requires some imagination on the part of the solver.
