Edgar Holladay
A three-mover by Edgar Holladay (1925-2003), who played a significant
role in promoting chess problems in the United States as problem editor
of the American Chess Bulletin and co-founder of the U.S. Problem
Bulletin.

In the three leading variations Black prevents a potential check by blocking a square or closing a line,
