There are three set pin-mates:
1...Qxe5 2.Sf4
1...Rxe5 2.Sc5
1...Bxe5 2.Sd4
1.Qf3 threat 2.Rf6+ exf6 3.Qxf6
1...Qxe5 2.Qe2 threat 3.Sf4; 2...Bc1 3.Sd4
1...Rxe5 2.Qe3 threat 3.Sc5; 2...axb6 3.Qxb6; 2...Bd4 3.Sxd4
1...Bxe5 2.Qe4 threat 3.Sd4; 2...Rd5 3.Qxd5; 2...Qg1 3.Sf4
A surprising key abandons the set pin-line. The captures at e5 are now defences, after which the white queen returns to the pin-line, choosing her destination carefully each time.
Juha Neitola: The pin Black is lured into turns out fatal although White seemingly loses a tempo in the process. It is impressive how the white queen can dominate the entire board with her choice of minimum-length moves.
