A problem which contains what some might consider a serious flaw, though it is inevitable in this matrix. The high award would suggest that the judge thought it did not detract from the clarity of the idea.

The solver is unlikely to miss the prominent set play, so the key and changed continuations may come as a surprise. The double threat can hardly be avoided given that the rook can move to c6 and d6. Very clear construction.
K.Seetharaman: Nice problem. Two excellent changes after the set checks. Should be difficult to solve. Double threat seems unavoidable.
