Mate in 2
Neutral pawn c7
Neutral pieces were invented by T.R.Dawson in 1912. They can be regarded as being of either colour by each player during their turn to move, hence a player can move a neutral piece as if it was their own, or capture it as if it was their opponent’s. A neutral pawn promotes to a neutral piece. In the diagram White could promote to rook or knight, but not queen or bishop, as that would check White's own king.
