  • 2025/04/21 – April 18/19 2025 society e-Weekend

    On Friday April 18th and Saturday April 19th the BCPS hosted it's first ever e-weekend. This was an online video conference event attended by over forty members from around the world! Details of the lectures and events will appear in coming editions of The Problemist. This is the programme of the event.

    e-Weekend! Join us for our first ever e-Weekend.
    Lectures, solving, quiz, show-your-problem, and socialising, all by Zoom, on Friday April 18th and Saturday April 19th. You can listen to talks - from experts including Yochanan Afek and David Shire, take part in a solving contest, try your quiz-answering skills and simply socialise online with other members. The event will be on the Friday evening, and on the Saturday starting immediately after our AGM. You are welcome to join the e-Weekend Zoom at any time.

    The BCPS has announced its first ever e-Weekend, an online weekend event for members to meet up, socialise, and participate in a variety of fun events. More details will follow in due course.

  • 2025/02/20 – The 2024-2025 Winton Capital British Chess Solving Championship

    The Final of the Winton Capital British Chess Solving Championship took place on 15th February 2025 at Harrow School. All the problems set, and their solutions, in the Open and Minor events, and the full results can be viewed via the WBCSC menu.

    The 2025 International Solving Contest took take place on Sunday 19th January 2025. A UK heat was held at Sheffield Flourish. The official announcement of the competition was posted at https://www.wfcc.ch/invitation-21st-isc/.
